Mexa Thermal teams up with ITV
‘eat them to defeat them’
Mexa Thermal has proudly teamed up with ITV Veg Power, supplying Mobile Cook Stations to Lambeth’s primary schools as part of the ‘eat them to defeat them’ campaign.
Cook School helped Key Stage 2 children learn recipes showcasing vegetables and taught the skills to re-create them at home. Over 3,000 Lambeth school children have trained to cook with vegetables using the Mexa Thermal Mobile Cook Stations provided by Lambeth Council and paid for by the sugar tax revenue.
The VEG POWER fund was established in 2018 by TV chef Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall in an attempt to tackle the rise of childhood obesity and diet-related illnesses in the UK. Recent research by The Food Foundation revealed that 96% of teenagers and 80% of primary school-age children do not eat enough vegetables.
Primary schools across the country are taking the initiative to teach children how to cook and try new vegetable recipes using the Mobile Cook Station. Mexa Thermal cook stations are designed primarily with school children’s safety in mind. With its ultra safe triple glazed Slide and Hide oven door and a cool to the touch state of the art induction hob, makes this the safest cook station on the market today. The full range of cook stations can be effortlessly manoeuvred down corridors, through classroom doorways and plugs straight into any 13amp socket, making the Mexa Thermal cook station the wise purchase for all schools.
